Dr. Robson Presents Uganda Study Results

Dr. Howard Robson training Ugandan leaders in TFT
Dr. Howard Robson training Ugandan leaders in TFT, 2012

Phyll Robson, board member of TFT Foundation UKgave the following report on the presentation given by foundation chairman Howard Robson, M.D., at the 2013 ACEP conference:

Dr. Howard Robson was very pleased to be presenting the research results from the PTSD study undertaken in Uganda in January last year, 2012. He described the care taken to follow protocol to ensure the study undertaken on 256 participants would be valid.

The Research presentation session was well attended, and there were many questions from the floor about the study itself, and about the psychological and physical changes we witnessed in the study participants after treatment. The audience were very impressed to learn that only one treatment session was provided to each participant, by a newly trained Algorithm Ugandan Therapist, to achieve our results.

Roger Ludwig gave a moving account of the changes he observed in the study participants, followed by an overview of the many transformations we observed in the local people not included in the study, but who were treated by the TFT team, some of the Catechists trained in 2009, and some of the newly trained Catechists who were keen to practice their new TFT skills.

I talked about a group of women we had treated the previous day, who were very excited when we met them again at the training centre. They told us how they had been able to sleep all night for the first time in years. Many people in Uganda suffer Continue reading “Dr. Robson Presents Uganda Study Results”

Translation for the Philippines?

There are many stories on this blog describing how  the TFT trauma relief technique greatly relieves the suffering of people who have been traumatized. Thousands of people in the Philippines have been severely traumatized by Super Typhoon Haiyan, and the TFT Foundation would like to make the TFT trauma relief technique accessible to them. However, we don’t yet have a translation of the technique into Tagalog, the language of the Philippines. Do any of you speak and write Tagalog? Would you be willing to help us with the translation? If so, please leave a comment and we will get back to you. Thank you for taking a stand for peace!

Two New TFT Trauma Relief Technique Translations!

Rwanda
Rwanda

Dear Friends,

In honor of Dr. Roger Callahan’s passing on Nov. 4, it gives me particular pleasure to announce that we’ve added two new translations of the TFT trauma relief technique: Kinyarwanda and Swedish.

Many thanks to Prosper Ishimwe for the Kinyarwanda translation, and to Ann-margret Lövling for the Swedish. Their generosity makes the profound healing and transformational discoveries of Dr. Callahan available to two more countries!

To see the new translations, go to the right column and look under “Pages–Technique Instructions.”

The world has lost a great man… Dr. Roger Callahan

Born on May 8, 1925, Roger Jerry Callahan was 88 years old. Dr. Callahan was a pioneer, an intellectual, and, above all, a humanitarian.

Roger Callahan founder of TFT and EFTMay 8, 1925 – November 4, 2013

Born on May 8, 1925, Roger Jerry Callahan was 88 years old.  Dr. Callahan was a pioneer, an intellectual, and, above all, a humanitarian.  He was passionate, not just about helping people, but challenging our beliefs about accepted psychological principles and healing in general.

In his long life, he found immense personal satisfaction through healing countless people who suffered:  emotionally and physically.

Roger is survived by his loving wife, Joanne; his children, Patti, Amy, Martha, and Scott; his grandchildren, Jennifer, Ryan, Katie, Haley, Tessa, Charlie, Will, and Jack; and his great granddaughter, Madi.

Roger retired in 2011 to spend time with his family, and Joanne Callahan continues the work of TFT.

Please join us in a celebration of Roger’s life, by clicking here.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to The TFT Foundation, to help complete the documentary on TFT and Roger’s work in Rwanda, as well to help The TFT Foundation to continue its work in helping treat trauma worldwide.

Donations may also be sent to The TFT Foundation, PO Box 1220, La Quinta, CA 92247

Roger CallahanI have been blessed to have shared nearly 25 years with a wonderful man.  One who has left the world with a powerful tool for the healing of our mind, body and spirit.

One of Roger’s favorite quotes was by Sir Francis Bacon, “God’s job is to hide things and man’s job is to find them.”  He spent his life trying to find “them”.   With a single-minded focus, he began searching for better ways to help his patients.  He then turned that focus toward finding better ways to facilitate self-healing around the world, and for all.

Roger lived with passion and a zest for living life to the fullest.  He had a deep conviction and understanding of the importance of what he was receiving and developing.  He persevered against all odds to bring us this gift of healing.  He was a true pioneer in a field whose time has now come.

His gift has profoundly changed the lives and transformed entire regions of traumatized countries – taking them from Trauma to Peace.  This will continue to expand across our chaotic planet.

His work is no longer just about tapping away fear or anger, but about lifting ourselves out of separation and conflict, to a place of love and peace.  I have witnessed this evolution and am honored to be able to help share his gift with a world that so desperately needs it.

Please join me as we continue his legacy of sharing TFT with the world – with all.

Your Chance to Help the Children in Rwanda

Izere Children
Regarding our last post, about the phenomenal work being done using TFT to relieve the profound suffering of children and adults at the Izere Center in Rwanda:

We have a donor, wishing to remain anonymous, that has offered matching funds to help IZERE community treatment days. They need $2200 for October’s community treatment day. The last community day, during the period of mourning, that we helped we were able to provide funding to treat 250 people and 435 came for help. Please help us keep these children and others receiving TFT relief in their lives. Help us raise the matching funds of $1100.

If you’d like to help us help these children:  Contribute Here

Thank you!

TFT Relieves Suffering of Children in Rwanda

TFT at Izere Center, RwandaThe following was written by Fr. Augustin Nzabonimana, director of the Izere Center, Rwanda, where TFT is used to relieve the suffering of those who have undergone horrendous trauma from the genocide, being orphaned, and other atrocities:

Discover the meaning of life using TFT!!!
TFT CAN MAKE YOU HAPPY!!!
Look how TFT Is helping the children with disabilities who live at Izere Center!

Many people we are treating at Izere Center come with depression, hopeless, angry and grief, with PTSD and extreme trauma,…! Somme time we need to lodge those who have an extreme trauma, fear and depression.

And, as Izere center is a social Center, we receive many cases to helped: Widows with low income, handicapped children, people with different incurable diseases, orphans,…

TFT is helping us to deal with all cases which need the high knowledge in psychology, sociology, theology and philosophy.

The pictures of the children who lie at Izere Center, I took them in different time after the long observation. It was no easy to see the happy and dancing. When they saw someone coming to them they went to hid themselves! Before TFT: Izere Center, Rwanda

But now, when they have problem they go directly to see me, Adrienne or Betty to be treated with TFT.  And I was very happy to see them treat themselves!!!After TFT: Izere Center, Rwanda

And I’m really happy to see my dear children friends dancing, singing and greeting  the visitors of Izere Center. Note that many of those children are orphans and handicapped. We feed them, lodge them and bring them at school. They are my best friends children!!!
